People who want to do some volunteer work once in a while are often
faced with the inability of finding out who might need their help.
This site bridges that gap. The users of this site will signup as a member
and indicate the kinds of help that they can volunteer, the times and
days of the week they can volunteer, and the radius (in miles) in which they are willing
to help someone.
Next, someone who needs some help from any volunteer, after signing up to be
a member, will indicate what kind of help they need.
The system will then identify if there are any volunteers who can help this person.
Once the potential list of volunteers have been identified, the system will send
an email to each one of them, letting them know of a request for help and if they
would like to volunteer themselves. If so, they will be asked to get in touch
with the requester to mutually make arrangements for the help.
The requester will not know who all are available to help them. They will
only know "How Many" volunteers are available to help them in that area. This
is to protect the privacy of the volunteer. It will be up to the volunteer
to contact the person needing help.
The requester also has to make sure they are comfortable with the person
volunteering to help them. MutualPool.com does not in any take any responsibility
for anything including the personality of the volunteer.
